Sink Full of Dirty Dishes: Keeping my power
I don’t mind waking up to a sink of dirty dishes.
I even look forward to and enjoy doing them first thing in the morning.
I’ve always preferred doing dinner dishes in the morning.
I decided to change the way I approach dishes; it didn’t happen overnight but I was inspired to look at mundane tasks in a different light.
There are 3 options in life when you aren’t happy:
1. Change the situation
2. Change yourself
3. Change your mindset
The dishes in my life aren’t going anywhere so I’ve stood in my power and changed my mindset.
I could choose to resent the pile of dishes and be mad that I have to waste my time washing them all.
But this wouldn’t get me anywhere.
I now look forward to dishes because it’s a few minutes each morning that I am mindlessly productive and have time to focus and reflect.
Just don’t ask me to put them away, that’s my husband’s job.
Emptying the sink of dirty dishes starts the momentum for the rest of the day.
Already, I have one task completed no matter what the rest of the day looks like.
I am in charge of my reality and I actively choose me.
I choose to stand in my power.
You’re probably thinking, “Mariah what do the dishes have to do with my personal power?”
Well, if I let myself be frustrated about the dishes and I get all worked up about them I hand my power over the pile of dishes in the sink.
And that's pretty lame…
I’m a grown ass woman in charge of my reality and the dirty dishes.
I am a co-creator of my life and by not letting myself get worked up about the little things like dishes, bad drivers and other things I can’t control I show the universe I’m ready for the good stuff.
It doesn’t matter how many crystals you have, how through a vision board or complicated rituals you do: if you aren’t actively choosing yourself in every day moments the universe can’t easily co-create with you.
We need to show the universe: I’m ready to receive all the magic and manifestations this world has to offer and that my heart desires.
